We would like to thank all of the brave men and women from all of the fire departments that fought all night and into the morning to salvage as much of the building as they could but more importantly to keep the fire from spreading to any of the surrounding homes. Our debt can never be repaid and our gratitude cannot be adequately expressed with words. Thank you to all of the following departments for your tireless efforts: Mecosta Township, Wheatland Township, Barryton Fire, Nottawa-Sherman, Millbrook-Rolland, Big Prairie Fire, Colfax Township, Morley Fire, Lakeview Fire,Chippewa-Martiny Fire. We also want to thank Mecosta County EMS, Mecosta County Sheriffs Posse, Central Dispatch and Mecosta County Emergency Services for everything you did in assisting in fighting this fire. Your selfless commitment to keeping our community safe is appreciated more than you will ever know.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to make the announcement that we will be closed for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately the damage from the fire is substantial and devastating. The outpouring of support and concern has been both heartwarming and humbling, it has made us even more grateful for this community and the people and businesses in it. We will be forever grateful for your support through out the years and the unprecedented amount of support and love we have received in the last 24 hours. So from our Blue Lake Tavern family thank you so very much 💙
