🎃 I THINK I FINALLY GOT IT!!! 🎃

Y’all… I am SO freaking excited right now. 😭🧡

The Pumpkin Sourdough has officially been back in the kitchen for another round of testing, tweaking, modifying…and then modifying some more. 😂

And I have to say a HUGE thank you to every single person who has tried the previous versions and given me your honest feedback. When you told me it needed more pumpkin…I listened. When you gave me suggestions…I listened.

Because that’s part of this little bakery journey. 🧡

So I went back into the kitchen and changed some things.

What did I change? 🤫
I’m not telling you just yet. 😂

But I JUST pulled these Pumpkin Sourdough minis out of the oven and OH. MY. GOODNESS.

The smell. 🤤
The color. 🎃
The swirl. 😍

I seriously cannot wait to cut into one and, even more importantly, share these tomorrow and see what YOU think!

Not expecting perfection on the first try.

🍞✨ THE FIRST MINIS ARE OUT OF THE OVEN!!! ✨🍞

Y’all… I am BEYOND EXCITED right now!!! 🥹🙌

My very first set of mini sourdough loaves just came out of the oven and LOOK AT THESE LITTLE CUTIES!!! 😍🍞

There is just something so satisfying about watching an idea go from “Hmm… I wonder if this will work?” to pulling these beautiful little loaves out of the oven. 😂

And honestly, that is exactly what Imperfectly Perfect Cottage Bakery is all about. ❤️ Trying new things. Learning as I go. Making adjustments. Sometimes making a mess. 😂 And enjoying every bit of the journey!

These minis are going to be SO much fun — and I already have all kinds of ideas running through my head for them! 👀

First batch = SUCCESS! 🙌

Now back to the oven because there is LOTS more baking happening tonight! 😂🍞🔥

🤎 THIS WEEK LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT… AND THAT’S OKAY. 🤎

If there is one thing this little cottage bakery continues to teach me, it’s that things don’t always go according to plan—and sometimes you just have to give yourself a little grace. 🤎

This week, I haven’t been feeling quite 100%. Living with an autoimmune condition means there are days when my body decides the pace for me, whether I agree with it or not. 😂 Add in this Tennessee heat ☀️🥵, running my other business, being a mom, and just LIFE…and I realized I needed to listen to my body instead of pushing myself to do ALLLLL the things.

This was also the very first week of our new weekly PREORDERS! 🎉

And just like everything else I’ve done with this bakery, I’m learning as I go. I’m learning how often I need to share preorders, how to get the word out, and how to help everyone get accustomed to this new way of ordering their favorites each week.

So instead of looking at this week and thinking, “I didn’t do enough,” I’m choosing to look at it differently.

What CAN I do?

And apparently the answer was…make something MINI. 😂🍞🤎

Inventory may be a little smaller this Saturday, but there will still be LOTS of love baked into everything I bring. 🤎

Because THIS is what Imperfectly Perfect means to me.

It isn’t about doing everything perfectly.

It’s learning when to push and when to rest.
It’s trying something new when Plan A doesn’t work.
It’s giving yourself grace.
It’s showing up with what you have and doing it with love.

🤎 Almost Sold Out… and My Heart Is FULL. 🤎

This is me tonight. Robe on. No makeup. Tired. Grateful. Real. And completely, imperfectly perfect. 🤎

Today at the McKenzie Farmers Market, I ALMOST SOLD OUT! 🥹🍞

And y’all…going into today, I was worried.

I had introduced several new flavors from my August menu, and that little voice in the back of my mind kept asking…

What if people don’t like them?
What if they don’t sell?
What if I made too much?

Well… God showed up and SHOWED OUT. 🙌🏼😭

And I only have a few Cilantro Lime Mozzarella and Everything Bagel with Mexican Cheese loaves left!

The very things I was worrying about, God was already working out. 🙏🏼

To some, the number of loaves I baked and sold today may not seem like a lot—but to me, it is HUGE. Every loaf represents hours of mixing, stretching, folding, shaping, baking, learning, second-guessing myself…and then getting up and doing it all over again. 😂

I am determined to keep going. To fine-tune my recipes. To learn from my mistakes. To get better. And to grow this little cottage bakery one loaf, one customer, and one farmers market at a time. 🤎

But I know without a doubt that I could not do any of this without Father God. 🙏🏼

He continues to open doors, give me strength when I’m exhausted, and remind me that sometimes I need to stop worrying about whether I can do it and trust what He is doing.

And then there is YOU ALL. 🥹🤎

Every purchase. Every share. Every like. Every comment. Every person who stops by my table. Every person who tells a friend about my bread. Every word of encouragement.

Tonight I’m slowing down for a minute. I’ve got a few very busy days ahead—spending some much-needed time with my family, getting caught up with my other business, and, of course…getting ready to BAKE AGAIN! 😂🤎
