OG Fam,

I wanted to send a quick note because some of you may have noticed that we've been unusually quiet lately.

The truth is, our family has been dealing with something involving my Papou, and my attention has been somewhere other than social media, emails and everything else that normally comes with running Olympos.

I'm not ready to share what's going on, and out of respect for him and our family, I'm going to leave it at that for now.

But I did want you guys to know there is a reason for the silence.

Papou means an incredible amount to me personally, but he's also an important part of the Olympos story.

When I was starting this place more than 16 years ago, he was there.

He helped me.

He believed in me.

And looking back now, I don't think I fully appreciated just how much those moments would eventually mean to me.

It's strange how life can make you stop and look at things differently.

Olympos has been such a huge part of my life that sometimes it's easy to get caught up in schedules, food costs, staffing, orders, bills and everything else that comes with keeping a small business alive.

Then something happens that reminds you why you started in the first place.

Family.

So for right now, I'm spending the time where I feel like I need to spend it.

Olympos is still here. We're still cooking. And you'll still see us behind the counter.

We might just be a little quieter for a while.

For everyone who has supported this little family business over the last 16 years, thank you.

I mean that more right now than I probably ever have before.

I'll share more when the time is right.

Until then, take care of your people.

You never get the time back.
