The faces change. The years pass. Kids grow up, families grow bigger, and somehow those old photos start to mean a little more.

For us, Plum Garden has always been woven through those years. Birthdays, holidays, long days at work, and ordinary moments we didn’t realize we’d someday miss.

Here’s to the people who were there then, the ones beside us now, and all the memories still being made.

You didn’t just build a restaurant. You built a place where first dates became marriages, little kids became parents, and strangers became regulars who felt like family.

Sixty years ago, our mother and grandmother Connie arrived with a dream.

She couldn’t have imagined that one day her story would be shared on WGN Radio, or that three generations later our family would still be serving the community that embraced us.

Thank you to WGN Radio for shining a light on our family’s journey, and thank you to our hometown of McHenry.

You’ve welcomed us into your celebrations, comforted us through difficult times, introduced your children and grandchildren to Plum Garden, and made us feel like family.

We are incredibly grateful that our story has become intertwined with yours.
