Things to do, places to see, and the lovely people of McGrath, Alaska. People here always wave hello, so don't be to confused, just wave back. We are a remote Village/ Town, full of life and fun. A town where adventure is only as far away, as long as it takes you to get ready. During winter here, you can take off on a snow machine (Snow mobile) ride a few steps from the front door and cruise over

to nearby Villages on the amazing Historic Iditarod trail. There are Safety cabins along the way. During the warmer months we enjoy a good mud bogging on our four-wheelers (ATV). A beautiful boat ride is just seconds away, to hunt our favorite rock, the Agate. You can also look for prized mammoth fossils, and keep an eye out for our wildlife. There are many birds to see, and many monster pike to catch. We have a road that goes to nowhere with some of the best views, on clear days you can see Mount Denali. On this road you can use any transportation you little heart desires, walk, bike, drive a scooter, or a truck, and borrow some kayaks and go to the lake! Our river is wide and calm, great for the beginner paddlers. On the other side of the Kuskokwim River is where the Original Town of McGrath started. The most common way to end your stay is to enjoy an evening bonfire with the locals, and to bring the sun down then watch it come right back up. McGrath has a grocery store, a couple bars, a couple churches, a Cafe', a coffee shop, lodges, B&B, bunk house, public library, public radio station, clinic and Museum.

This month's meetings, For the breakfast club bring a dish to share and a coffee cup. It is for keeping all business's up to date on whats happening.
Please join us for the breakfast club meeting,on January 8th at 10:30am bring a dish to share and a coffee cup. We will have cups but we are trying to be green! We would like to know what goals you may want to see the community work on!
