Who’s been loving this weather the last couple of days? ☀️🍂 It has been absolutely glorious and the perfect excuse to get out and enjoy our little town.
Today, I want to share something a little different and a little bittersweet.
As many of you know, This ' n That, located inside our shop, will be permanently closing its doors at the end of this month. This makes me incredibly sad. Mary took a chance on a small-town business and has been with us for the past year. From now until the end of the month, everything must go, so she’ll be having a Going Out of Business Sale.
If you haven’t stopped in to see her, now is the time. Come browse, do a little shopping, and help support her during these final days.
This situation is also a reminder of how important it is to support our local businesses. Support doesn’t always have to mean making a purchase. It can be sharing a post, telling a friend, leaving a recommendation, or simply stopping in and showing your support. Every little bit matters.
When I opened my doors in Maysville nearly 5½ years ago, it was a huge leap of faith. Small businesses, especially in small towns, depend on local support to make it through the slower seasons. The truth is, every dollar spent locally helps keep our community thriving. It helps local businesses stay open, creates jobs, and keeps our town unique.
Maysville may be small, but we have some wonderful businesses here run by hardworking people who pour their hearts, time, energy, and resources into what they do. We celebrate your wins, support local events, donate when we can, and truly care about this community because it’s our home too.
So today, enjoy the beautiful weather. Grab lunch at a local restaurant. Stop by a local shop. Treat yourself to some ice cream. Support the people who are investing in this community every single day.
And from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has supported us over these past 5½ years. We wouldn’t be here without you, and we are incredibly grateful.
❤️ Shop local. Support local. Keep Maysville strong.
