FAQ: What's the difference between Lo Mein and Chow Mein?

We get mix-ups about these items on our menu all the time, so we created something that breaks it down!

🥡Sometimes customers order "Chow Mein" from our menu when they mean to order "Lo Mein." When this happens, they receive what looks like a vegetable dish rather than the soft stir fried egg noodles they had expected.

🥡So what is the difference between Lo Mein and Chow Mein?

🥡Lo Mein is our most popular noodle style, with stir fried soft egg noodles with sauce, and usually select vegetables and a protein of your choice.

🥡Chow Mein is a dish of Napa cabbage, onions, celery, and bean sprouts stir fry with white sauce that is meant to be served with fried crispy noodles. When you order Chow Mein, the fried noodles come separately so they don't become soggy.

🥡There are regional differences in what restaurants consider to be "Chow Mein."
