Some updates and a message:

Unfortunately we cannot give the update we are wanting to give, and all we can say for sure is we have no idea when we will be able to open back up. We appreciate everyone’s concern and questions, but we are working with the city and trying to figure out what to do the best we can.

We also wanted to say that we are so sad we missed being open in June. Every year we would make a Pride themed milkshake and donate some of the proceeds. We want our LGBTQ+ friends, family and customers to know that we are still very supportive and that there is a place for you in Mason City.

Thank you again for your concerns, we will update Facebook as soon as we know anything more

Though it’s hard to find any positives from the fire at the Kirk last night, we are thankful to say that we’ve been inside Suzie Q and she is alright. No damage that we know of for now. We are unsure when we’ll be able to reopen as the area is still unsafe, but we will let you know as soon as we know.
Thank you again for all of your well wishes and support, please keep those displaced by the fire in your thoughts and donations.

Hello All-
Unless you aren’t in Mason City right now, I’m sure you’re aware of the tragic and heartbreaking fire at the Kirk apartments. Luckily Suzie was untouched by flames, but is in an unsafe zone and is absolutely drenched. We will definitely be closed tomorrow, and we’re unsure how long until we can open again.

Our hearts go out to those affected, please keep an eye out for places to help and donate to those who are displaced by this tragedy. A huge thank you to the Mason City Fire Department and all emergency services, we will all get through this together ❤️
