Reminder: 88th crossing closure.

Road Closure Notice: BNSF Railway will close 88th Street NE at the railroad crossing for major crossing repair work Friday, Aug. 21, through Monday, Aug. 24, 2026. The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 21. It will close again at 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, and remain closed continuously until approximately 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24. Drivers should plan ahead, use alternate routes, allow extra travel time and be patient while the work is underway. The reopening time is approximate and may change depending on construction conditions. This work is part of a BNSF Railway project to improve the pavement at the 88th Street Northeast crossing.

Now that summer has finally arrived, and those pesky, wonderful, children have exited the long arm of education, we will have the usual uptick in traffic into our joyous little teahouse.

So, to be sure you’re insured of a spot, reservations are imperative, this time of year.

Especially, if you’re traveling from a distance, and expect seating when you arrive.
