It is with mixed emotions and deep reflection that we share this news with those that were loyal customers, devoted employees, and dear friends, who, over the years, have become like family to us. Bob’s Carry-Out will have new owners and a new name. This is a place our parents so lovingly built from the ground up. A family business with the entire family working in the shop or behind the scenes at one time or another. There wasn’t a day that you didn’t see Bob or Robby behind that counter. It was a second home to the whole family and all employees. Everyone's heart played a part.
We lost our father— a generous soul, and the heart of Bob’s Carry-Out. He poured his dreams and spirit into every recipe, every piece of those walls, every warm handshake and Bob smile that greeted you at the door. Bob’s Carry-Out was far more than a business; it was a living tribute to our father's legacy of hard work, kindness, and community.
We are endlessly grateful for the support you have all shown us over the years. Your stories, laughter, and shared memories have been a source of comfort and strength as we navigated the journey of grief and tough decisions. To every employee throughout the years, thank you for your dedication, for treating our dad’s dream as your own, and for treating every customer with the same warmth he always did.
The decision to sell came with a mixture of emotions: sadness at the close of a cherished chapter but also hope that the foundation our father laid will continue to nurture new dreams and friendships. We are confident the new owners will share our values. We are confident that the traditions started here will live on and that this place will remain a gathering spot for delicious food and lasting memories.
Though we will no longer be at the helm, our hearts will always be intertwined with the story of BCO. Thank you for making the journey so meaningful. Thank you for honoring our dad’s vision with your continued support and for helping us keep his memory alive, one slice, one taco pizza, one sub, one Mexican, one bag of Gibbles/UTZ, one Hershey ice cream, one pickle / hot sausage out of the glass jar and we can’t forget the cherry smash, at a time.
With heartfelt gratitude and love, we ask that you continue to share Bob’s Carry-Out and family stories in the community and with us. Forever keep Bob and our wonderful mother (Dorothy) in your hearts. We will always call you family.
We love you and this community 💛🍕
