The Wolffs recently acquired the land where the Dutzow Deli stands, a place that’s been a cornerstone of this community for over 20 years. Tina, who opened the deli with her husband and son built it into what it is today, has decided to retire to spend more time with her family. While we’re all happy for her, it’s truly a bittersweet moment for Dutzow. She poured her heart into the Dutzow Deli, built a legacy of warmth and hospitality, and served this community with love and devotion.

Her impact went far beyond good food, it was about connection, kindness, and the comfort of a familiar place where everyone feels welcome. Growing up on a ranch in Montana, I know firsthand the role small businesses like the Dutzow Deli play in their communities. These are the places that bring people together and remind us of what truly matters: people, tradition, and community.

As we take this next step, our goal is to honor the land, the people, and the legacy of Dutzow, Missouri’s oldest permanent German settlement and the heart of the Missouri Rhineland, where rolling hills, farms, and the Katy Trail meet.

To the Wolffs, this land isn’t just property, it’s part of what binds our community together. Every step forward will be made with care and intention: Does it serve the community? Does it belong here? We want to preserve that feeling of home, where tradition, kindness, and connection still matter.

Here’s to Tina, her family, and to the spirit of Dutzow, where kindness, community, and connection will always have a place.

To our wonderful community: The time has come for me to begin a new chapter. After 22+ incredible years, I am officially retiring, and Dutzow Deli & Restaurant will be closing its doors for the last time on Sunday November 2, 2025. This journey has been the honor of a lifetime. From our family to yours, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your loyalty. It has been a privilege to serve this community, and we will cherish the memories forever. Thank you for your support, your stories, and for being the heart of this business.

We will be open through Sunday November 2, 2025 from 8 am - 2pm. I hope you'll stop by one last time to say hello.

Stay tuned for exciting new changes coming to the property under Dutzow Landing, LLC (Scott Wolff)! While Scott kindly asked me to stay on, the time has come for me to embrace retirement. Please join me in welcoming Scott into the community with the same warmth and generosity you’ve always shown to our family.
