What we decide to nourish our body with directly decided how we are able to express health. In a world that can feel hard to make healthy choices, we want to be the light. We believe in lots of things - our community and clean food included! Our foods are always 100% gluten free, vegan options (dairy free alternatives). We emphasize the use of organic, locally-sourced and hypoallergenic ingredient

A new chapter for a familiar place ☕️

Hi, I’m Andrew (Pastrami Joe’s), and my wife Kelsey and I recently became the owners of Grassroots Cafe.

Like many of you, we’ve watched this space go through a lot of change over the years. We’ve listened to your stories—what you’ve loved, what’s been frustrating, and why some of you stopped coming.

Truthfully, we felt the same way.

So when the opportunity came to step with our expertise to bring more consistency and direction—we took it.

Here’s what’s coming:

• A stronger focus on coffee — new roaster, professional training, and a true coffee-forward approach (already underway)
• A new name + brand — something meaningful that reflects our vision (coming soon)
• A reworked menu — better flavor, consistency, and broader appeal. We’ll keep great gluten-free options while adding more variety
• An improved space — our goal is to create Marshall’s go-to “third place” to gather, work, and connect
• More community events — live music, book clubs, kids activities, game nights, and more

What’s staying the same:

• Fresh, clean, healthy food
• Gluten-free options (just not exclusively GF)
• The chiropractors in the back — they’re staying!
• Local ownership and a commitment to this community

We’re honored to be part of this next chapter and grateful to have you along for the ride. We’re not promising overnight perfection—but we are getting better every day.
