I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and support today they were very appreciated 🙏 🤲
I felt awful that we had to close down, 🥺especially after last Sunday weather issue ⚡ but Mike couldn't & wouldn't be able to run it without me (plus I was bringing him more wood 😉)
It takes a lot of wheels ⚙️ to get that truck up and running, and obviously by the time we were able to open you all had made other arrangements 😔
But we think finally we figured out what got me today, even though I never seen a bug or physical evidence 🧾 to identify the culprit but we think it was a caterpillar 🐛...as harmless as it sounds some of them are very deceiving, especially this certain white one (you can read all about it the attached photos)
So I never realized that the tiny hairs on a caterpillar can detach and fly through the air and when they come in contact with your skin, it causes burning and itching and obviously welpts as well.
I was loading up some wood to bring to the truck this morning and as I'm leaving to head up, my neck started to itch and burn (almost like the feeling of fiberglass) so of course I scratched it, but now instead of the prickly burning just being on my neck it went down my back.
I tried to remain calm as I'm still driving, I'm trying not to freak out right now. I'm hoping maybe it was just some wood pieces that fell down my back when I scratched my neck. No big deal until, it started feeling like it was going down the back of my pants.
Nope, nope, nope,thats when I drew the line & pulled off the road into a parking lot like a banshee, flung open the door and start stripping my clothes off (I can imagine what people thought that were driving by 😂) first my jacket, then the long sleeve shirt that was under my T-shirt, next my pants 🤔 nope that wasn't happening 😂
I'm not sure what's going on as the stinging was making my body twitch at the same time. 🤷😬 Needless to say I was a bit historical by now, so I called Mike and he heard how upset I was by this conversation & was telling me to go to the ER of course I refuse. 🙈🙉🙊 Then he said "you need someone to get their 👀 on you".
So I called my girl Teri Hammond-Kincaid and she sprung into action to help me figure this out.🦸
So after exposing all my unmentionables 😂 she looked for whatever the culprit was, 🕵️ and never could find anything but I wasn't allowed to drive until we knew for sure, (just in case I developed a severe allergic reaction, and couldn't breathe)
So jumped in her shower to make sure there wasn't a kritter 🪲 🐛 still there somewhere.
All day I have had a prickly feeling, esp if touch my neck that has had me wigging out just a little 😬
Finally after talking to Bill Corley more about what the hives felt and looked like he pretty much confirmed it was probably that white caterpillar.
I just wanted to make everyone aware of this in case you have any mysterious welts come up on you or your family members
🛑 Do not rub or scratch use tape to remove the tiny hairs (like insulation)
