Well that was a wild weekend, thank you to everyone dropping by and saying hi during the Autumn Harvest Festival. Now back to the regular grind. Bad news first, due to scheduling conflicts we’ll be going back to our usual days of Thursday through Sunday 8:30am to 2pm. Now the good bits, with the cold, gray weather we’ve been having it’s time for a stick to your ribs (and arteries) special. This week we’ve got Biscuits and Gravy! Two of our buttery biscuits and fried breakfast potatoes slathered in our house made Happy Ham Gravy with 5 types of pork in it. Come on in for a steaming plateful of gravy goodness at Rivertown Cafe.

There’s so much good stuff happening in Marlinton on Saturday! The cafe will be open until 5 with a rotation of amazing musicians 10-5! 🎻🪕

Music starts at 10 AM at the Gazebo Stage. Contest registration is 11 AM–noon at Discovery Junction, with banjo and fiddle contests through the afternoon. The World Class Jam runs at four locations around town. After the 6–6:30 PM Hammons tribute and awards, music continues at Discovery Junction until 10 PM.

Better late than never. First up the Red Beans and Rice was a smash and thank you to everyone who stopped by last week. So many compliments, even on the cornbread by some discerning connoisseurs. So the Autumn Harvest Festival is upon us this weekend and to celebrate the Roadkill Cook Off our special this week is a delicious Deer Burger served with your choice of Blueberry Bacon Jam or our own Cowboy Confetti and a side of Smoked Potato Salad. It’s going to be a fun week so stop on in.
