Now Hiring: Host | Parlour 1886

We’re looking for a friendly, dependable host to welcome guests to Parlour 1886 in the Historic Elgin Hotel in Marion. This is a great opportunity for a local high school student who enjoys working with people and wants to learn restaurant hospitality.

What you’ll do

- Greet guests and help manage reservations and seating
- Keep the team informed when parties arrive or guest counts change
- Answer the phone and help guests with basic questions
- Keep the entrance and host area welcoming and organized
- Assist the service team during busy periods

Evening and weekend availability is important. We can discuss a schedule that works around school.

No restaurant experience is required. We’re looking for someone who is punctual, communicates well, and stays calm when service gets busy.
