I don’t even know where to start with this one. I was getting ready to start working toward getting our diner back open, and today we discovered that someone came onto our property and literally stole/stripped our HVAC unit.
I hate being ugly. I really do. I try to help people. If you’re hungry, I’ll feed you. If you’re struggling and I can help, I will. I would give someone the shirt off my back. But there are two things I cannot stand—a thief and a liar.
I am TIRED.
I’m tired of working my tail off to build something for my family, only for someone else to think they have the right to come onto our property and take or destroy what we have worked for. This is now the second time one of our properties has been vandalized. We’ve already dealt with windows being busted out of a rental property, and now this.
The part that hurts the most is that I was finally getting excited about putting work into this place again and seeing what the future might hold for it. Now we’re facing another expense and another setback because someone decided to take something that did not belong to them.
And yes, I’m a Christian. I love God, and I try every day to live the way He wants me to—but I fail daily. Being a Christian does not mean I have to stay silent while people continue to steal from, disrespect, and destroy what my family has worked so hard for. There is only so much a person can take.
I’ve had one heck of a few years, and I’m done staying quiet about things like this.
Whoever did this: I pray you realize the seriousness of what you did. You also put yourself in serious danger messing with electrical equipment. More importantly, you came onto someone else’s property and took something that was NOT YOURS.
We will be reporting this, we will be looking for answers, and whoever is responsible will be held accountable through the proper channels.
I’m disappointed. I’m angry. And yes, my flesh is fighting hard today. But I refuse to let someone else’s actions take away everything I’ve worked for.
You may have caused us another setback, but you will not take away my determination. And you will not take away my faith.
God sees what people do when nobody else is watching.
And just a little FYI to whoever did this…
YOU LEFT YOUR FINGERPRINTS BEHIND.
If anyone saw anything suspicious around the property or knows anything about what happened, please reach out to me or law enforcement.
PLEASE SHARE! Someone knows something, and we would greatly appreciate everyone helping us get the word out.
