Junction Honey hits the shelves TOMORROW! 🍯🥃

Starting Friday, September 4, Junction Honey will officially be available for retail purchase at Derailed Distillery — no reservation needed.

Created in partnership with the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival to commemorate its 50th Anniversary, Junction Honey is made with our Railmaster Reserve and locally sourced Ohio honey from The Bee Barn of Southeast Ohio.

If you missed the reservation window, tomorrow is your chance to grab a bottle. Bottles will be available while supplies last.

How Junction Honey came to be. 🍯🥃

We were extremely excited when the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival first approached us about creating a commemorative bottle for its 50th Anniversary. Our minds immediately started running through all the possibilities — but the direction became clear pretty quickly.

During those early conversations, Dennis Blauser, Ohio River Sternwheel Festival Director General and Chair of the Fireworks Committee, mentioned that honey bourbon was one of his favorite spirits.

That was all we needed to hear.

Our team immediately made a call to The Bee Barn of Southeast Ohio and got to work developing samples for Dennis and festival committee member Jennifer Brooker to taste. After a few rounds, they selected the flavor profile that would become Junction Honey.

From there, we pulled Gabe in to work his magic, taking the festival's 50th Anniversary logo and turning it into a label that showcases both the spirit inside the bottle and the significance of this milestone year.

The result is Junction Honey — Honey Flavored Blended Bourbon Whiskey, made with our Railmaster Reserve and locally sourced honey from The Bee Barn of Southeast Ohio.

We love how it turned out. Dennis loves it. And beginning Friday, September 4, you'll finally have the opportunity to pick up a bottle for yourself.

This project is exactly what supporting local can look like — a local distillery, a local honey producer, and a local festival coming together to create something that celebrates our community.

Support local distilleries. Support local farms. Support local festivals. Support the people who make the Mid-Ohio Valley what it is.

Reserved bottles will be held through September 9. Any bottles not picked up by then will be forfeited and released for retail sale.
