Stone crab season is officially open—but the guests of honor are arriving fashionably late. 😂 Apparently, our countdown clock meant nothing to them.
The claws are on their own schedule, so come hang out and wait with us! We’ve got plenty of oysters on ice, cold drinks, and Dan Harvey playing 5–8 PM upstairs at Shannon’s Crustacean Station. 🍻🎶
Will we be cracking claws by dinner? We’re hopeful—but no promises just yet. We’ll post an update as soon as they’re ready to serve!
Until then, grab a drink, order some oysters, and enjoy the music and sunset. The mustard sauce is ready. Emotionally, so are we.

Our fishermen have been catching more Florida lobster than we know what to do with… so we’re getting creative! 🦞
This week’s specials board is officially chock-full of lobster, and now we’ve added house-made Lobster Cakes, made with freshly caught lobster.
Come enjoy them at the restaurant or stop by the Retail Market and grab some to take home and pan-fry yourself!
Fresh Florida lobster. One very delicious problem to have. 🦞🌴

Annual maintenance is officially behind us, and Keys Fisheries is OPEN and ready to welcome everyone back!
October is a pretty great month to return, too. Upstairs at Shannon’s Crustacean Station, we are gearing up with music planned Thursdays and expanding throughout the month, Stone Crab Season opens October 15, and we’ll wrap it all up with our 15th Annual Stone Crab Eating Contest on Halloween! 🎃🦀

These claws are re-freshed — but what exactly does that mean?

Florida stone crab season is open October 15th through May 1st each year. During the season, we freeze some of our fresh claws at their peak. During the off-season, we slow-thaw those freshly frozen claws, a process we call re-freshing, to preserve the flavor and texture you love from fresh stone crab.

So while we’re counting down the days until the boats are bringing in fresh claws again, consider these a little something to hold you over. 😉🦀
