UPDATE: He's still kickin!

Mr. Beans, in addition to his litany of old-age related ailments, has a pretty nasty UTI. We thought it was kidney failure, but Dr. Corbett (who is fantastic!) diagnosed the UTI and he's receiving antibiotics.

We are deep cleaning the store this morning and Beans will be kept isolated in the office for a few days so we don't have to deal with errant tinkles.

We will be open at 11:00 AM today, resuming normal hours. Again, thank you all for your thoughts and wishes.

UPDATE: Please see the most recent post. Mr. Beans is back in the store and recovering from a nasty UTI. He will be isolated in the office for a few days, but will be happy to receive visitors.

The store will be closed today while I take Mr. Beans to the veterinarian. In all probability it will be a one-way trip. He appears to have come to the end of a long and fulfilling trail.

I will be taking some badly needed days off next week (yeah, it's a cruise. What else?). Deb's knee is still bunged up but healing slowly and she needs a few days as well. We don't have enough staff to run the place with both of us out, so...
