This. Sucks. And is not at all the New Years post I thought I’d be making.

Those on the inside or closest to me know that I have done everything in my power to make this bakery work. It didn’t work. I got the news on Dec 30th that our lease here will not be renewed.

In the last three years that I’ve been back in this space I’ve called home off and on for the past 13 years, I’ve met challenge after challenge, maybe not always with grace, but always with spirit, hope, and the drive to keep moving forward. But unfortunately this one is insurmountable, at least for now.

We are losing our beloved home at 2719 Sutton Blvd and must be out by Jan 31st. I cannot say yet what this means for the future of Prioritized, I can only speak right now to the time I’ve had here, and the little time we have left.

This news was very sudden and unexpected in every way. While I’ve had a few more days to sit with it than you have, that time has not granted me clarity or answers, just a lot of tears, memories and overwhelm.
But just like anything else I’ve faced with this business, I know (with help) I will overcome this too.

Right now my efforts are being spent focusing on keeping my kid and I housed and our bills paid while figuring out how to dissolve a business that has been my whole life, in less than a month.

But because this business is me, and I am it, this isnt really a goodbye forever. I’ll still be around- a loyal Maplewood resident, fierce defender of human rights, a friend, family, personal baker, unprofessional therapist, giver of hugs, love, and smiles. These things will never go away, even without a storefront to call home.

I have no idea how to end this, so for now I’ll just say I hope to see you all again soon and I hope you all know that you’ve all meant the world to me.

OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS I FINALLY DID IT!! It’s BREAKFAST TIME!!🚫🥚🚫🌾🚫🥛

Aside from bread, a *good* all and (and !) breakfast casserole is something I’ve been working on for years. Not only did I nail it and totally satisfy a craving (finally!)- but- I also stumbled across the key to making the most beautiful, fluffy, flakey all vegan and gluten free QUICHE too!!!
Im so psyched to serve all these to my friends and family this season and now you can too! Head over to the website and look under the new tab- BRUNCH!!

Happy August and most importantly HAPPY LEO/VIRGO Season!! ♌️♍️
Some of my very favorite people on earth were born around this time- including the one I gave birth to!!! My majestic little unicorn in human form is going to be TEN FREAKING YEARS OLD!!!
Baking up all their favorite flavors today and tomorrow- plus a special cake by the slice on Saturday in honor of them (💛🤍💜🖤🦖)
but on Sunday we will be CLOSED so I can properly celebrate both of us making it a whole decade with each other 🎂🧁🍰🌈✨
Back to all weekend long celebrations next week!!
