Well y’all… gather ‘round, because Season One of Flip Flop Fridge Fillers deserves its own little story.

Once upon a summer, in a land where sunscreen is currency and flip flops are basically formal wear, a tiny grocery‑stocking business took off running — literally — across driveways, dunes, and GPS routes that seemed to be written by someone who has never visited Topsail Island.

It wasn’t just me out there, either.
My daughter and I worked hard this season — tag‑teaming grocery lists, hauling bags, double‑checking orders, and learning the true meaning of “beach chaos.” She jumped in with both feet and helped me build this dream from the ground up, and I couldn’t be prouder of her.

And I have to give a huge thank‑you to my fiancé, John.
Anytime I called, anytime something went sideways, anytime I needed backup — he jumped into action without hesitation. Whether it was lifting, loading, troubleshooting, or just talking me off the ledge on a long day, he was there. Without his encouragement, I honestly don’t know that this year would have happened. He believed in me before the first fridge was ever stocked.

Families from everywhere handed us their grocery lists and said, “Please save us from the Day‑One Grocery Store Trip.” And we said, “Absolutely… as long as the GPS doesn’t send us into the Intracoastal.”

Because let’s be honest:
GPS roads are just a suggestion.

But somehow, we made it work.

We had 1 big happen, 1 almost‑big happen, and just 2 mix‑ups — which, if you’ve ever tried to find the correct rental on a street where every house looks like its twin, is basically a miracle.

We learned a lot this season:

If the GPS says “turn left,” it might mean “turn whenever your soul feels ready.”

Beach snacks multiply in the cart when no one is looking.

And when you list Flip Flop Fridge Fillers as your pickup person, store employees look at you like you’re running a covert grocery operation out of a sand dune.

But here’s the heart of the story:
You trusted us.
You took a chance on a small business.
You let us help kick off your vacation with a stocked fridge instead of an empty one and a long line at Food Lion.

And even though summer has officially clocked out, we haven’t.
The beach doesn’t move — and our weather stays gorgeous straight through January — so Flip Flop Fridge Fillers is still here, still stocking, still shopping, still making arrival day easy.

Thank you for supporting this little dream of ours.
Thank you for the laughs, the lists, the “Hey, can you add one more thing?” messages, and the chance to be part of your vacation kickoff.

And yes, we’re still wearing flip flops.
