“When are you opening?” ☕️

It’s the question we get asked the most and while we don’t have an official opening date just yet, we *do* have an exciting update! 👇

On **Wednesday, July 22**, the City of Mankato Planning Commission approved our Conditional Use Permit! 🎉👏

That means we have just **one more round of approvals** before we can officially start on our coffee shop! Our final stop is the **City Council meeting on August 10**. 🤞

In the meantime, we've been approved to begin building out our play space, which is such a huge help! We can't wait to share the progress and some fun behind the scenes updates with you.

So what's next?

We're currently waiting for the Health Department to review and approve our café plans. The good news? We don't have to wait on that approval to open the play area!

Our plan is to have a soft opening for play, followed by a grand opening for coffee + play once everything is approved. That means we'll be able to host open play, birthday parties, gatherings, and so much more!

Stay tuned we have lots of exciting things planned, and we can't wait to welcome you through our doors.

As always, thank you for supporting us. You truly keep us going. This journey has been an uphill battle from the very beginning, but every encouraging comment, every tagged friend, every share, and every family already making plans to visit reminds us why we're doing this.

We’ve been working hard to learn from the best in the business! ☕️

A huge thank you to The Coffee Keller for inviting us to their space and taking the time to show us the ropes and teach us all things coffee! From workflow and operations to all the little details that come together to create the perfect cup.

We are so grateful for the kindness and support that Chay Henle has shown us. From the moment we shared the news about The Village Play Cafe, they reached out personally to answer questions, offer guidance, and cheer us on every step of the way.
