This might not seem like a BIG deal but, it is to us. We’ve been experimenting this week with our donuts to try and make a better product. Why settle for good when you can be great, right? I’ve done this for 2.5 decades and I will tell you, this is the best version of a donut that Bakery on State has ever made. Fried with a crisp on the outside, and a pillowy cloud on the inside! When you take a bite, it’s so pillowy it rises back to where you started. Frosted with our homemade icings. Same amazing flavor, better texture! We invite you to try for yourself. Let us know what you think.

‼️Again, a reminder that we will be closed this Saturday, August 15th. We are no longer accepting any orders for Thursday or Friday. As always, we are stocked with breads, buns and bakery daily and welcome everyone to stop in and grab their needs. Summer is quickly coming to an end. Let that grill thrive!!!!‼️😁

‼️‼️Bakery on State will be closed this coming Saturday, August 15th. One last hurrah before my girls head back to school! Thank you for understanding! We will return to regular business hours on August, 18th. Open at 6AM‼️‼️

‼️‼️‼️Unfortunately my weekend getaway to visit my brother out east resulted in a 7hr delay at the Charlotte Airport today. Bakery on State will be CLOSED tomorrow as I hope to make it back at some point this lifetime. Sorry for any inconvenience! We will return to our regular business hours Wednesday for the rest of this week. Thank you for understanding and please share this post ‼️‼️‼️

It was brought to my attention that Bakery on State was selected as “Best Bakery” in the Community Choice Awards for 2026! THANK YOU to all of you who voted and to those who frequent the shop. I can tell you that every employee of Bakery on State plays their own role in the quality and service you receive and have come to expect from what I like to call, “a well oiled machine.” The bakery life is not for everyone and I have an amazing team! Thank you to my team for caring as much as I do! This is our first, 1st place award and I hope many more follow!
