🎨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: DO NOT ATTEMPT MATH AFTER PAINTING
🛑Today, Sharon was deeply lost in the creative flow zone. My brain was running at 100% capacity acting as an elite artistic supercomputer to solve these exact equations:🐺 Wolf Physics: How do I make this gray wolf's fur look realistic and touchably soft?✨ The Spark: How do I capture that perfect, lifelike glint in the wolf’s eyes?🌊 Water Dynamics: How do I render a river that is simultaneously transparent, reflective, and flowing over solid land and rocks?Basically, I was a master of color theory, value, and spatial logic.
🧠But then, reality knocked. A lovely customer stepped up to purchase a gift. 🛍️My hyper-focused "creative brain" suddenly had to pivot to basic arithmetic. It didn't go well:🌀 The analytical gears were completely jammed with pastel dust.💸 I confidently handed back a pile of change that made absolutely zero mathematical sense.
⏳ It required a long, blank-stare pause to completely reboot my prefrontal cortex.🧮 I finally surrendered and used a calculator to make the correct change.
Moral of the story: Don’t mess with the creative mind. We can accurately layer multiple complex mediums over kaolin clayboard, but asking us to subtract cash after a 6-hour marathon session is an extreme sport!
🏆Shoutout to my wonderfully patient customers who understand that "artist brain" is a very real—and very foggy—condition!
