We want to thank Skip for his dedication to the dough for 2 years. He's the one making all the dough for our bagels, and we count on him to be an absolute nerd for bread. Beyond that, he was our first customer when we opened 5 years ago, and thankfully hasn't been scared away as we've grown.

This year, he and his amazing wife Mattie opened a printmaking studio store front on Manitou Ave, basically across the street from us, called Mattie & The Kitties. If you haven't seen it yet, it's absolutely incredible.

Come grab a bagel, then hop over to buy some art so we can support this amazing human double time!

They asked us how we got a great score, and the answer is easy: when you care about a community so much, you want to do well by them, & that means keeping the kitchen tight. It goes beyond anticipating an inspection - it's routine care and maintenance, every single day. These are parts that you don't often see, as you're standing in line waiting for a bagel - but we're here for you in more ways than one. Thanks for supporting us, friends!

Good morning! ☀️

It has come to our attention that some believe we are making our gluten free bagels in house - so I wanted to take a minute to highlight our vendors at Outside the Breadbox, who provide us with a gluten free alternative to our house made bagels.

We are not a certified gluten free kitchen, although we love having this option for those with non-serious gluten sensitivities to try our entire menu (like this Turkey Pesto sandwich on a gf onion bagel). These bagels are vegan and made with certified gluten free oat flour.

That being said, it is IMPORTANT to know that if you have a serious allergy or celiac, we feel it is not in your best interest to consume any bagels here, gf or not, as we make bread here all day long. Flour is here, there, everywhere & in the air! We do our best, but the chance for cross contamination with flour is probable in our small kitchen. Tell your friends!
