Oktoberfest is only 3 weeks away! Mark your calendars for September 18th–20th and come hang out at Lancaster County’s biggest Oktoberfest. We’ve got all the good stuff—authentic food, drinks, and awesome performances from our Schuhplattlers, the Hobby Chor, and a bunch of live bands. It’s only $10 at the gate, and kids under 21 get in free. Grab your friends and make your plans—we can’t wait to see you at the LLK!

❗️❗️Parking Lot & CLUB Closure Update❗️❗️

Due to today’s rain forecast paving work will be delayed.

The parking lot and Clubhouse will be CLOSED SUNDAY and MONDAY, reopening Tuesday, Aug 18 at 4 p.m.

DO NOT PARK ANYWHERE AT THE CLUBHOUSE Sunday and Monday or before 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The clubhouse will be closed and inaccessible.

That means you should come to the club for this week’s installment of the Sommer Biergarten in the Pavilion with Uncle Smiley — featuring classic & current rock with a party vibe! 🎸🪕🎶🎤

Schedule: 5:00 Bar, 5:30 Food, 6:00-9:00 Music.
The Pavilion will close at 10pm.

Sommer Biergartens are for members and their guests (guests must be signed in).

The Biergarten takes place in the pavilion and the clubhouse is closed.

❗️The parking lot will be partially closed on Saturday due to repaving. Please avoid cordon-off sections. Overflow parking will be available in the grass.❗️

The monthly cultural spotlight was a history lesson.

The Bollenhut, with its iconic wool pom-poms, is one of the most recognizable symbols of Germany’s Black Forest. Traditionally worn by women from just three villages, the red pom-poms signified an unmarried woman, while black pom-poms indicated she was married. Today, it remains a cherished symbol of Black Forest heritage and tradition.

Carla Pielmeier presented this Bollenhut, which belonged to club member Doris Blouin (founding member of the AlleweilJung).
