I have a bittersweet personal announcement to share with you all. 🥹
After five incredible years, I’ve made the decision to sell The Grill to Go food truck. Honestly, it wasn’t an easy call to make. I designed it, built the menu from the ground up, and poured so much of myself into that little rolling kitchen. What started as a dream became one of the greatest adventures of my life, and the lessons I learned along the way helped shape who I am as a chef, a businesswoman, and a person.
But I’m finally learning that I can’t do it all. It’s a side job that takes a lot of my work. My body has been telling me for a while now that the pace I’ve been keeping isn’t sustainable (4 businesses and a farm), and I’m choosing to listen. So I’m simplifying, and focusing my heart on the two things that light me up most: Jenny’s Minis Farm and Kiva Catering.
The silver lining? The truck isn’t going far. The plan is one of my most talented chefs is taking the wheel, and I genuinely cannot wait to see where she takes it. It’s staying “in the family” and that makes letting go so much easier. I’ll be sharing more details about the new owner soon, so stay tuned! 🙌
In the meantime, I will be honoring all of my June bookings. I’ll be posting that schedule shortly so you know where to find us one last time. After that, continue to follow The Grill to Go on social media as she takes over and makes it her own.
The moment I made this decision, something shifted. I felt relief I didn’t know I’d been waiting for. I’m tired, and that’s okay to say out loud. It’s time to rest into what’s next.
To every single person and organization in this community who has shown up for me, who lined up at that window, partnered with me, cheered me on, and believed in what I was building, I am so deeply grateful. You have no idea what your support has meant.
