Hi friends! It’s us again your favorite little Aggieville diner with a friendly PSA about diner etiquette.
Recently, our lovely high-school-aged host has been catching some flack during peak hours because, occasionally, there are empty tables in the dining room while guests are waiting.
Here’s the thing: an empty table doesn’t necessarily mean an available table. We may have a waitlist longer than a CVS receipt, guests who have already been called and are on their way, or simply a table that hasn’t been fully reset and is still in the process of being turned.
We know mornings get busy. We know people get hangry. And with it being hotter than the Sahara outside right now, we completely understand that everyone wants to get inside, sit down, and get some breakfast.
But I promise you, our staff is doing everything we can to move through tables efficiently, get everyone seated as quickly as possible, and keep our kitchen from getting completely overwhelmed.
And while we know our breakfast is really good, there’s no need to take out the hunger, heat, or wait time on a high schooler working their first job and doing their best to get you fed.
A little patience and kindness goes a long way for our hosts, our servers, our cooks, and honestly, everyone else in the dining room.
Thanks for being awesome, Aggieville. We’ll keep the cinnamon rolls coming
