I also want to take a minute for taryn and our friends at taryn | freshAFbakeshop after her recent announcement. their plaistow storefront will close on 12/24, with the team moving into a private kitchen and badbatch.cafe in dover staying open.
her it work, and losing some of the joy along the way, hit home. there’s so much of yourself wrapped up in a business that knowing when to change direction can be one of the hardest calls you make. this life isn't easy or for the faint of heart so for her to go this far - just absolutely amazing and a testament to her leadership, toughness and endurance through the hardest career there is.
taryn, I have so much love & respect for you - for being honest about the toll, taking care of your people, and giving yourself a chance to rest and love what you do again. you deserve that. what you’ve built matters, and personally, I'm rooting for everything that comes next. always.
