Hey y'all, remember us? It's been a while but we're still here. We've been open for a little while. The cafe has a whole new look (if you haven't been in the building recently, you'll think it's the wrong place 😁). We are currently open Tuesday thru Thursday until 2pm. This Thursday we are serving our turkey taco salad (small batch to see how it goes). We hope to see you all soon and I'll post some pics of the new image tomorrow. Stay safe, healthy and happy. Hey there everyone. It’s been a while but we are still here, alive, kicking and staying safe. As you know, the café has been closed and as things stand, it will be quite some time before we can reopen on a regular basis. Despite our best intentions of winning big on the lotto the plan has yet to come to fruition and it is just too hot to send Alun out panhandling at the moment 😀.

I’m working on a way to put the café kitchen to good use but need some help. If you have ever had any of my soups or stews, would you be willing to provide a short testimonial? When I say short, I mean even one word (as long as it isn’t a curse word of course). I intend to use them on a new website as customer recommendations. Your identity will be kept confidential with only your first name and the first letter of your surname shown. You can private message me if you are able to provide me with a review.

Just to remind you of the flavors we have previously made I have provided a shortlist below. If you particularly liked a flavor not listed just remind me. Thank you all in advance. Hey there. The cafe will be open tomorrow Thursday (09/10/20) from 8am to 1.30pm. We are serving all breakfast items and a selection of lunch sandwiches. The special is our terrific taco salad with turkey or seasoned beans (V) and tasty toppings. Sorry for the short notice. We hope to see you soon and until then, stay safe, healthy and happy 😁

We know you miss us 😁. We are open for breakfast and lunch tomorrow (Thursday). We are serving most breakfast items, smoothies and biscuits and gravy as a special. For lunch we have our famous homemade beef and bean chili bowl with chips and a tasty chicken and bacon chef salad with spinach as well as burgers, melts etc. I am also making a small batch of homemade Belgian chocolate chunk cookies. We hope to see you soon and in the meantime, stay healthy, happy and safe

Hey there. We are open all day tomorrow (Thursday 07/30) serving breakfast and lunch. I don't know about you guys but I sure could use some comfort right now. With that in mind, we are making a really delicious light but creamy chicken stew packed with fresh vegetables and a side of roasted baby potatoes with herbs. We have other options available including a bacon cheese burger spinach salad, sandwiches, burgers and melts.

Hello everyone. The cafe will be open tomorrow serving breakfast from 8am to 9.45am and serving lunch until 1.30pm. We are making large baked potatoes filled with delicious loaded beef and bean chili, tuna mayo or homemade chicken salad as well as a selection of tasty sandwiches and toasted croissants. Hello everyone. Just letting you know we are open for breakfast and lunch this Thursday (07/02/2020) from 8.00am to 1.30pm. We will be serving most of our regular breakfast items and a selection of lunches including taco salad, chicken salad sandwiches, grilled cheese and a few more yet to be decided.

We will also be selling homemade cottage pies with home made beef and onion gravy and sides of buttered vegetables (served already chilled for your fridge) for you to heat and enjoy at home (no need to eat them immediately, they will be perfect for the weekend). Quantities are limited so please let me know if you would like to place an order (sizes serve 2 or 4 people).

Are you getting tired of ordering the same food but not yet ready to venture out to eat? Why not order one of our delicious afternoon tea platters for 2 (or more if you want). Afternoon tea can be eaten at any time and gives you a perfect excuse to sit down and relax with your favorite person (or people) whilst sampling delicious savory and sweet bites. You can add your own mimosas or bloody Mary for a perfectly civilized afternoon tea party.

Each box contains:
A selection of finger sandwiches (you choose up to 4 fillings from the list)
Chicken and stuffing
Tuna mayo with cucumber (P)
Egg salad (V)
Savory cheese (V)
Ham and cheddar with English mustard
Turkey and Swiss with honey mustard
Cream cheese with chives and cucumber (V)

Homemade caramelized onion and sharp cheddar quiche slices (V)
Cheese and crackers with homemade tomato chutney
Homemade chocolate brownies
Cheesecake bites
Homemade British scone with whipped vanilla cream and strawberry jam
Chips
Tea bag selection

Orders need to be placed before 10am on Thursday 25th June for collection between 11am until 1.30pm on Friday 26th June. Platters serve at least 2 people and cost $31.00 plus tax ($15.50 per head).

Today we received a very unexpected and wonderful surprise in our bank account. Unbeknown to us some little angels found a way to reach out to our lovely customers in Maitland and Altamonte Springs and set up a fundraiser for the cafe. We don't know the details and I'm not sure we ever will so we can't reach out to you individually. We want you to know that we are so very thankful, humbled and astonished by this and words really aren't enough. For the first time in a while we are able to breathe a little easier because of you. We hope you know how much we appreciate and miss you all.

If nothing else goes well for any of you today, take a step back and remind yourself that you made a huge difference in our lives and we will be forever grateful.
