🇺🇸☕🌳 Freedom Tastes Pretty Good Around Here 🌳☕🇺🇸

Now, we know a treehouse might not be the best place to watch a fireworks show, and breakfast or lunch isn't exactly prime time for bottle rockets...

But when you stop and think about it, freedom comes in all shapes and sizes.

At Treehouse Cafe, we celebrate freedom every day. The freedom to choose regular or decaf. The freedom to enjoy a hot cup of coffee or an ice-cold beer. The freedom to pick craft, domestic, or even foreign. The freedom to gather with family, friends, and neighbors right here in Magnolia.

That's one of the beautiful things about being an American — having choices and enjoying the simple pleasures that make life special.

So this July 4th season, come on by, pull up a chair, and get yourself a taste of freedom.

We'll have the coffee hot, the beer cold, and the hospitality waiting.

It won’t do magic tricks or make you question reality… although you MAY question why nobody made this for you growing up.

Possible side effects may include:
• Hunger satisfaction
• Sticky fingers
• Looking at everybody else’s plate with suspicion
• Protecting your syrup like personal property

And that whole “Made To Share” thing?
Yeah… that was mostly marketing.

I mean… I’m not saying NO.
But if you want a bite, you better ask nice. 😄

The Great PoBoy Debate
By a Hungry Texan With Too Much Time to Think

The other day I found myself sitting around thinking about one of life’s great unanswered questions…

If a “PoBoy” sandwich gets upgraded… what in the world do you call it?

Because let’s be honest — “PoBoy” may be one of the greatest food names ever created. It tells a whole story before the sandwich even hits the table. You already know it’s gonna be overstuffed, messy, probably dripping somewhere, and likely require at least three extra napkins and a short nap afterward.

But then my brain started wandering.

What happens when the PoBoy gets fancy?

Do we call it a “Rich Man”?

Because I’ll tell you right now… nobody has ever walked into a restaurant and confidently said:

“Yeah, I’ll take the East Coast Chicken Rich Man with extra pickles.”

That sounds less like a sandwich and more like a guy trying to sell you a condo near a golf course.

And imagine ordering a “City Style Shrimp Rich Man.”
Absolutely not.

A PoBoy has soul. It’s country. It’s Cajun. It sounds like somebody’s grandma made it after church while Zydeco music played in the background and somebody’s uncle was arguing about fishing conditions.

The word “PoBoy” just FEELS right.

Honestly, changing the name of a PoBoy after it gets bigger feels kinda like my friend Pepper changing her name to “Paprika” after she got famous.

Now sure… Paprika sounds expensive.
Maybe wears sunglasses indoors.
Probably drinks sparkling water for no reason.

But deep down everybody still knows her as Pepper.

Same goes for a PoBoy.

You can stack it taller.
Load it with more shrimp.
Serve it on a platter the size of a truck hood.

But at the end of the day… it’s still a PoBoy.

Now maybe an upgraded PoBoy just needs a bigger Southern nickname altogether.

Maybe:

Boss Hog PoBoy
Bayou Boss
Magnolia Monster
Full Belly Special
The Belly Buster
Treehouse Tower PoBoy
The Big Timber PoBoy

See now THOSE sound like sandwiches meant to be served with a sweet tea big enough to need both hands.

Personally, I think once a sandwich reaches the point where shrimp are falling out the side and you gotta lean forward just to take a bite… it deserves a title upgrade.

But I’m curious what everybody else thinks.

Our Cinderella Salad is dressed to impress with fresh spring mix, juicy strawberries, crisp red onions, creamy feta cheese, sweet sugared pecans, and a rich balsamic vinaigrette drippin’ down just right. We call it Frog on a Log 🐸🍞🍳

And I’ll tell ya what—no matter what name you slap on it, it’s still good eatin’. Crispy bread, runny yolk, and flavor that’ll make you slow down and stay awhile.

So quit wonderin’ what to call it and come on by, grab yourself a plate, and Getcha Some.

Well now… we done went and did it 😏

If you’re lookin’ at this here Grilled Cheese Cheese Burger, I’m challengin’ you—yeah YOU—to come see just how artificially intelligent this burger really is.

Now I’ll be honest with ya… it ain’t all that smart.
But it sure is beefy… and real dang cheesy.

I mean think about it—this ain’t just a burger.
It’s basically two sandwiches and a ground steak stacked together.
That’s a whole lotta decision makin’ for one plate.

While you’re sittin’ there tryin’ to process all that,
you can wash it down with some cold beer, maybe a frosty root beer,
or whatever helps you make sense of your life choices 😄

Either way… when you make it out to the Treehouse,
you can snap a picture and tell your friends you had…
