What does it take to turn an ambitious idea into something that changes lives?
That was the conversation at the inaugural Leadership Lab at Madison Club, featuring Kevin Conroy, former Chairman & CEO of Exact Sciences.

From his upbringing in a household shaped by healthcare and public policy to the years of persistence it took to bring Cologuard to patients, Conroy shared the experiences, challenges, and leadership lessons behind one of Madison’s most impactful business stories.

Leadership isn’t just about the decisions made at the top. It’s about the experiences that shape you, the people who influence you, and the willingness to keep moving forward when the path isn’t easy.

We’re proud to be a place where Madison’s leaders can come together to share those stories, exchange ideas, and inspire what’s next.

Thank you to In Business Madison, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and ActionCOACH for bringing this inaugural Leadership Lab to life.

Right in the heart of downtown Madison. 🌆✨ This view has always been one of our favorite reminders of why we love calling this city home. Whether it's a morning walk by or an evening event inside, the Madison Club is proud to be part of this cityscape.

Andrew joined looking for a place to work and unwind. He found a whole young professional community that's just getting started.

As part of the Young Professional Group and its committee, he's been part of building something — and this fall's lineup might be the group's best yet.

September reminded us why the good ones always fill up first — the dinners, the Saturdays, the seats at the bar that somehow turn into standing plans.

Some conversations are worth clearing your calendar for.

Kevin Conroy spent over a decade building Exact Sciences into one of the world's leading cancer diagnostics companies — from Cologuard to a acquisition by Abbott. On September 29th, he joins us at the Madison Club for an evening built around one idea: leadership is a conversation, not a lecture.

Expect a moderated interview, an open Q&A, and a room full of people worth knowing — plus networking and hors d'oeuvres to close out the night.
