This Is Why Feed Your Knead Exists. ❤️
Sometimes people ask me why I started Feed Your Knead. The funny thing is…
Owning a bakery was never really the dream.
Baking for more people was.
Feed Your Knead simply became the way to make that possible.
I’ve always loved baking for other people. There has always been something special about watching someone take that first bite, seeing their face light up, and hearing them say, “Oh my gosh.”
That feeling has never gotten old. Then I discovered sourdough. The more I learned about traditional fermentation, wild yeast, and simple ingredients, the more I fell in love with making food the way it has been made for generations—with time, patience, and ingredients you actually recognize.
It became less about baking… and more about creating something wholesome, handcrafted, and worth sharing. In a world where so much of our food is rushed, overprocessed, and unnatural, I wanted to make things the slower way.
The way that relies on wild yeast instead of shortcuts.
The way that’s made from scratch.
The way that’s baked fresh.
The way that simply takes time.
Because the good stuff can’t be rushed.
And honestly…
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Feed Your Knead was never about building a business just to have one. It became a way for me to keep doing what I love on a bigger scale.
To bring fresh, handcrafted sourdough to more kitchen tables.
More family breakfasts.
More coworkers’ break rooms.
More holiday gatherings.
More moments shared with the people we love.
Because food has always been about so much more than food.
It’s about connection.
It’s about slowing down.
It’s about gathering around the table.
It’s about creating memories.
One of my neighbor friends—who has become one of my favorite customers and taste testers—sent me this message after trying my English muffins.
I laughed.
I smiled.
Then I thanked God. Because I know exactly where this gift came from.
Because this… This right here… is why I do it.
Not for the likes. Not for the sales.
But for that one little moment when someone takes a bite, closes their eyes, smiles without even realizing it, and for just a second the rest of the world disappears.
If I can give someone that moment—that feeling of comfort, joy, and pure happiness—then every late night, every early morning, every hour spent feeding my starter, waiting on fermentation, shaping dough by hand, and baking everything fresh is worth it.
That’s the moment I’m chasing.
That’s the reason Feed Your Knead exists.
To everyone who has ordered from me, encouraged me, shared my posts, trusted me to bake for your family, or simply believed in this little dream…
Thank you.
You allow me to keep doing what I love.
Every loaf.
Every bagel.
Every cookie.
Every cinnamon roll.
Every English muffin.
They’re all made with one hope in mind—that somewhere, someone takes a bite, closes their eyes, smiles, and for just a moment feels exactly what my neighbor felt.
If I can give that moment to as many people as possible…
Then I’m living exactly the purpose God placed on my heart.
“Let all that you do be done in love.”
