We're offering wings again.

Back in the day we didnt have a fryer, so we cooked them in the pizza oven. Perfectly fine, but not "correct".

This time we are old school. Deep fried with an oven finish after saucing. Crispy, saucy, HOT. Proper.

Just buffalo and bbq for now, but we'll add more from time to time.

I know I said someone would be at the shop throughout the weekend, but oh man, Sunday was not happening. We rode out to check on the shop, and the roads really were quite bad. I didn't want to contribute to more cars being on the road and decided to forego opening. Safety first.

So, if you've been jonesing for some Upper Crust, I'm opening early for lunch tomorrow, including on Doordash

I'm heading in early anyway, so figured I'd open up the shop.

Normal hours, 11-8.

It'll be interesting to see what weather we get this weekend, and how much, but typically, we dont close the shop. Oftentimes we get orders for EMS folks, VDOT, police, and essential businesses that can't shutdown who like to reward staffers for coming in.

If you're one of those folks, keep us in mind.

Considering this seems likely to be an ice heavy event, power reliability is suspect, especially in Wyndhurst whose power grid is famous for outages, and weird in that even when we do keep power, it is often only half the shop. So I have to swing by anyway to verify power and make sure the fridges are working.

Also, we now have a manager who lives in Wyndhurst and is cool walking in, as well as others who just want to work.

I really am blessed to have such an awesome team.

Point is, someone should be in the shop.

Obviously, if the roads are stupid bad, as could be the case Sunday due to ice, we won't risk lives over pizza, but if we can make it, we will.

Holler if you need pizza.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
to everyone.

I am excited to announce that the shop will be closed all of Christmas week, with full pay for staff.

I have always wanted to close for a week at Christmas, but this is the first time I have been in a position to afford it.

We will be intentionally prepping lightly Saturday and Sunday to minimize the amount of leftover, prepped ingredients that will have to go in the trash Sunday night. Most all our ingredients are fresh, hand cooked and prepared, which is another way of saying expensive and with short shelf lives, and even if there are ingredients that could sit a week, we would never use them that old.

So, as the weekend draws to a close, it is likely we could be down to simple pepperoni and cheese pizzas. For the best chance of getting exactly what you want, best to hit us Friday or Saturday.

Y'all have a very Happy Holiday Season, and we'll see you on Dec 30th.
