A few fun facts about the Delaware Canal Trail:
• The trail follows the historic Delaware Canal, originally built in the 1820s to transport coal from northeastern Pennsylvania.
• It stretches nearly 60 miles on the Pennsylvania side, from Easton to Bristol.
• The canal is a National Historic Landmark and one of the only remaining towpath canals in the country.
• You’ll spot wildlife, river views, historic locks, and charming small towns all along the way.
