I have not written or posted in a while. I would write, so I could try to make sense of everything that has been happening, to try and bring clarity to the muddied waters, to try and keep a beacon of light and hope on all the darkness and despair, to try to stay positive and focused when evil and hate are all around, to give myself motivation to continue to be fearless in supporting, and speaking out for anyone that is targeted or just being their true self, and to try to ,inspire others to do the same. I have broad shoulders and have always stood tall, but the weight of it all is becoming overwhelming and taking its toll. Mental self-preservation and healing at the moment are vital so that I can continue to fight for, speak out for, and support anyone that needs help.

Now for part of my mental healing, I need to say a few words;
F**K this administration and every lying, cheating, racist, ra**st, pe*****le, grifting, self-serving, in the name of Christian Nationalist part of it. F**K OFF!!!!

We have a couple of features this week, Memphis Spaghetti and the Dick-Tator, along with some new items added to the menu, Hot Mess Open Face. The Memphis Spaghetti is a combination Q sauce and Marinera mixed with chopped pork and spaghetti noodles. The picture is shown with the additions of shredded cheese, diced onions and tomatoes, and sliced jalapenos. The Hot Mess starts with a slice of Texas toast with chopped pork, hot sausage, sliced tomato, red onions, jalapenos, queso cheese sauce, siracha sauce, and green onions. We also have our Porto Rican Pernil sauce and the Mexican Al Pastor sauce back as flavor options for bowls or sandwiches as well.

AREA CLERGY VOICE SUPPORT FOR TRAVERSE CITY MAN & DETAINEE ON HUNGER STRIKE

On Monday, April 27, Traverse City area clergy and faith leaders will gather in prayer and solidarity with a Traverse City man and member of a local church who is detained at the Northlake Processing Center in Baldwin. The man, an immigrant from Nicaragua, is one of the detainees on hunger strike in protest of conditions: including power outages, cold temperatures, and poor quality food.

Clergy will gather at his home church, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel on Fouch Road at 1pm Monday for a prayer service with public witness with his family.

Thank you to everyone who came out the past days for restaurant week, but unfortunately the brisket lasagna is sold out for today. We still have all of the other features, but they are selling fast as well. For those that did not get to try the lasagna, due to the overwhelming response it will be making it's return as a regular feature in the future.
