Simply Decadent is now a Home-based bakery. Same recipes, same ingredients, same love and attention as before. Once we receive the deposit the pick up address will be given via text, email, or messenger. A 30% non refundable deposit is due to place any and all orders.

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone’s week has been off to a great start! I know I’m excited!

It’s the return of football! I have a super busy week! And next week is almost booked as well! What more could a girl ask for?!?!!

I will have tortilla cakes in the sugar shack this weekend. They are first come first serve, I am only making a limited amount because I well that’s all that I can squeeze in with all the orders I already have.

Love a good smear cake! This customer had toppers that they wanted to place on top. The little pops of gold just make this cake pop!

Okay just an update for this week. I am officially completely booked! I have almost 30 cakes, few dozen cupcakes, and items for the sugar shack going out this week and my fridges will not be able to hold anymore! 🙏😍Thank you to everyone that booked this week, it’s going to be a fun one!

If you are needing to book for next week 9/7-9/12 I highly recommend emailing or texting ASAP! I am already starting to fill up and Saturday 9/12 is almost booked full since I have 3 weddings. I do still have plenty of availability for the last two weeks of September before I am out for surgery.

Just a reminder your order is not booked until I receive the deposit. Make sure to pay that as soon as we talk about it so that you don’t run the risk of waiting and then I get fully booked.

Okay I have 24 cake slices left in the sugar shack and I would love to sell them all so I’ll be opening up the shack here at 11am today 8/30! I still have gluten free items and the cookies in the fridge again today.

Question….with next week being the first game of the season do we want tortilla cakes again in the sugar shack? Or would we prefer a box of 6 tech inspired cupcakes? I do already plan on making double T thumbprint cookies for sure!

Who’s excited for this season besides me?!?!?❤️🖤👆

I got so busy this morning I forgot to post. Still plenty of cake slices left. Also I put the cookies in the fridge today. It’s getting to be too hot outside so I might be putting them in the fridge for now on until it cools down. Open till 8pm tonight. 6312 14th street.

The sugar shack is open for today! Full menu and address can be found on the website. The very bottom shelf is gluten free items. I do have all the cake by the slice packed in there so feel free to look around, be careful when opening the fridge door. I also made another whole almond amaretto cake this week.

I’ll list all the flavors and amounts in the comments and I’ll try to update this later today around 6pm.

Love this little girly Toy Story cake! The customer provided the toys, and everything is buttercream except the little clouds on top.

I decided to go ahead and wait till tomorrow 8/27 to open the sugar shack. I’ll post the menu later today to the website, as well as the hours.

If you need a cake for next week I recommend emailing or texting me asap! I have a big wedding, quince, and already several orders next week so Saturday 9/5 is now booked but I can still fit in a few pick ups for Thursday 9/3 and only 1 more for Friday 9/4. Just a reminder your order is not booked until I receive a deposit.

Also with me being out for a good chunk of October I have decided to take on Sunday pick ups for this next month only. I wanted to do this so I can take on as much as possible. I will be limited on the pick up times, but wanted to have this option open.

I have lots of sampler cakes to bake today so that means I’ll have lots of cake by the slice in the sugar shack this week!!

If the chance of storms tomorrow goes down I’ll go ahead and open tomorrow. I’ll post in the morning to let y’all know. I’ll still have gluten free mini cakes in the shack as well. Make sure your following the page and interacting with post so that you see us on your feed more!

***Long post alert sorry***
I have had a lot of inquiries for orders for the beginning of October and since I have already reached out to my October orders I decided I needed to go ahead and make this announcement.

I have had some medical issues for a while now, and at the very end of September I will be going in for surgery to hopefully solve those issues. I will have to take some time off work to heal and then I will slowly start taking on orders. As of right now I will not take on any orders from 9/28-10/15. My hope is that I’ll be feeling somewhat better to slowly start taking on more orders, cause I have bills to pay!

With me being a single mom this will be an extremely tough time for us since this is my only source of income. So with that being said my son has been training with me the last couple weeks so that he can be ready to run the sugar shack while I’m out. He is currently working on completing his food handlers certificate. My son does still go to high school and has a part time weekend job, so we are just trying to figure out what he’ll be able to do and not fall behind in school. I will make a post about menu and hours as we get closer to the end of September.

I am so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause for my customers, this was just the only time that I had a little bit of a break in orders before the holiday season kicked it. And this had to be done before the end of the year. If you want to place an order ahead of time and freeze your cake I would be happy to help going over that with you. I have had people freeze cakes before and said they were just as good. If not and you need recommendation I would be happy to help you with that as well.

Until then I will try and take on as many orders as possible and work on some ideas to help us bring in some money during this time. I appreciate your understanding this situation, and as always thank y’all for all the love and support!

Thank god for leftovers sometimes!!! I had a pop tart this morning with my chai tea it was the perfect pick me up to get my day started!

All invoices for the BYO sampler boxes have been sent out. I also emailed a couple people that had questions. Please check your inbox and/or spam folder. I did have one person I had to text so if you don’t see an email please check your text.
