It is with a heavy heart I am making this post.
I am sure several of you have been wondering why you have not seen or heard from The Coffee Can lately. Well this is something that has been in the works for several months now and I have not wanted to make a post about it until I knew it was for sure. On Saturday I sold TCC. This is a decision that was not made lightly but a decision I saw best for my family. I want to thank all of you that truly supported me over the past two years. I could not have done it without you. I want to thank the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market for taking a chance me after only being open for a couple of months. I truly could not have made it the last two years without you guys. I will always be so incredibly thankful for the trust you put into my business. I loved every Saturday and always looked forward to seeing Chuck, Larry and Andrew at 7:15 every Saturday for the past 2 years. I have truly missed your smiling faces this summer. I met so many incredible people and made lots of new friends over the past two years. I learn how a small business is run and learn so much about myself. I will never forget my experiences and the love I had for my little baby but it is time for me to hand her over to someone else. She will be living a new life in Louisiana.
Thank you all again for your incredible support that you showed me over the past couple of years, I will never forget it. Peace ✌🏼❤️☕️

April FFAT canceled. Hopefully by May, we will all be able to resume back to our normal daily routines. Until then, stay caffeinated at home, you are going to need it with with all these crazy kids running our homes😉. ✌🏼 ❤️ ☕️

In light of recent recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the City of Lubbock on limiting public gatherings due to COVIC-19, LHUCA is cancelling First Friday Art Trail for the month of April.

This includes special art activities that fall outside the normal course of business at all venues on the trail: A Beautiful Mess and Co, Art for Goodness Sake, Bad Axe Raider, Bentley Arrow, Bo Tan Fine Art Studio and Gallery, Buddy Holley Center, Charles Adams Gallery, CASP, Caviel Museum of African American History, GlassyAlley Art Studio and Gallery, J&B Coffee, Legacy Event Center, LHUCA, Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center, Rooster’s Texas BBQ, Suger Browns Coffeehouse, Therese Barrett Fine Art Photography, Tornado Gallery, TTU Press, Two Docs, and Urban Tech.

LHUCA and all the First Friday Art Trail venues appreciate the incredible amount of community support there is for this monthly event. We hope you understand this difficult decision is based on concern for the health and well-being of all in our community.

As always, thank you for supporting the arts in Lubbock, especially during this challenging time.

We are set up for First Friday Art Trail. We are in a different spot tonight but still serving up the same delicious hot drinks. We are just catty corner from our normal spot , set up beside the welding/art gallery building. Come get a warm drink and wonder around. We will always have popcorn from The Kettle Corn Guy Kevin Woelfel.

This Sunday’s throwdown is definitely not one you will not want to miss. So much fun to be had. If you have a fur baby dress them up and bring them with you.

We enjoyed serving Lubbock Christian School this morning to end their homecoming school week. Thanks for having us out.
