Our involvement with the Estacado High School Leader Academy program is just one of the many ways we support our local Communities in Schools Coordinators. These dedicated individuals are on the front lines every day, ensuring that students, teachers, and staff in our public schools have the resources and support they need to thrive.

That’s why we were honored to nominate Communities in Schools - South Plains for a Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award!

Selected from more than 30,000 applications nationwide, CIS is the ONLY organization in West Texas to be named a regional finalist! They’ve already secured a $35,000 grant, but with YOUR help, they could receive up to $200,000 to continue making a difference in our community!

Cast your vote for CIS in the Chick-fil-A App this month. Here's how:
1. Open your Chick-fil-A App.
2. Select “For You” from the bottom menu.
3. Navigate to “True Inspiration Awards” and select the Southwest Region.
4. Cast your vote for Communities in Schools of the South Plains

Please join us in congratulating Bobbie Jo, our August Winning Hearts Award: The Second Mile recipient at Chick-fil-A 69th & Slide!

Bobbie Jo has been part of the Chick-fil-A team for three months, and in that short time, she has made a lasting impression through her genuine care for both guests and teammates. She truly embodies what it means to go the second mile by making every interaction personal and helping others feel welcome.

Her favorite menu item is a Kids Meal with a Kale Crunch Side, and her favorite place to serve is the dining room, where she enjoys visiting with guests and creating meaningful connections throughout the day.

Outside of work, Bobbie Jo loves spending time with her family and grandchildren. If there's one thing to know about her, it's that she's never met a stranger—only people she hasn't met yet. That gift for connecting with others shines through every shift and makes guests feel right at home.

Bobbie Jo, thank you for the joy, kindness, and hospitality you bring to our restaurant each day. Your heart for serving others is exactly what The Second Mile is all about. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
