This coming Monday, June 8, and will have the incredible honor of representing Louisville, Kentucky at the 39th Annual Chefs' Tribute: Wanderlust benefiting in New York City.

We are deeply grateful to Citymeals for the invitation and for the extraordinary work they do, providing meals, companionship, and dignity to homebound older New Yorkers.

It is truly humbling to join an incredible lineup of chefs from across the country and around the world, including culinary icons and in support of such an important cause.

As we prepare to open TANA, opportunities like this remind us how fortunate we are to be part of Louisville's vibrant hospitality community. Louisville has shaped our career, and it is a privilege to share a piece of our story, our culture, and our city on this stage.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our journey. We are proud to represent Louisville and honored to participate in an event that showcases the power of food, hospitality, and community.

Hi — we’re Ming & Courtney.

In 2019 we traveled to New York to cook at the House . One night, after dinner at Win Son Brooklyn, we walked out talking about what our own place could be — something rooted in Ming’s Taiwanese childhood, but shaped by the restaurants and hospitality we’ve experienced together. That conversation eventually became TANA.

Since then, it’s been late nights at our kitchen table, notebooks everywhere, and a lot of “what if we tried this?”

Over the years we’ve traveled and eaten everywhere we could — neighborhood spots, cocktail bars, and dining rooms around the states — not just for the food, but to study what makes a place unforgettable. The pacing. The energy of a room. The way a guest feels when they walk in.

Ming’s cooking reflects where he’s from and the kitchens that shaped him. Courtney believes how someone is welcomed matters just as much as what’s on the plate.

The road here hasn’t been simple. There were delays and setbacks, but also people who believed in us long before the doors have opened.

TANA is an extension of our home and our story.

We can’t wait to welcome you to TANA.

Last week in NYC reminded us exactly why we do this.

We were incredibly honored to cook two collaboration dinners with our friends at and — two restaurants that have helped shape how modern Taiwanese food is seen, felt, and celebrated in this city.

As we get closer to opening TANA in Louisville, being back in New York — cooking alongside chefs we admire, in a city that continues to push culture forward — felt full circle for us.

The rooms were packed.
The energy was real.

And the love from the NYC community was overwhelming.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported us, shared a table, and believed in what we’re building.
We’re deeply grateful — and we’re carrying this momentum home with us. 💛

A story that started long before there was a name, a space, or a plan—rooted in family meals, night markets, long hours in professional kitchens, and a lifelong pull toward food that feels honest and alive.

TANA is about honoring where we come from while cooking in the moment. Taiwanese-inspired, regionally influenced, and built around bold flavors, technique, and intention. Familiar, but never predictable.
This is just the beginning.
