Basa Modern Vietnamese We are a modern Vietnamese restaurant that is influenced by French cooking techniques. We use locally sourced ingredients to create original dishes.

Basa opened its doors in March of 2007 to much praise. Chefs Michael and Steven Ton's dedication to excellence is apparent through their cuisine. And their distinctive characters are expressed in the intimate and inviting restaurant space they've created. Michael and Steven immigrated with their family to the United States in 1975 from South Vietnam. Combined, they have over 20 years industry expe

rience. Michael Ton, a 1995 graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, was formerly at the Boston Harbor Hotel, Biba, Top of the Hub, and most recently at Banners, a private luxury restaurant located at the Fleet Center in Boston. Steven Ton has spent the majority of his career as a manager in Boston area restaurants, North Carolina. Most recently, he worked for the Myriad Group based in Manhattan.
