The Greatest Corner in Fighting History
On a day when America 🇺🇸 won its World Cup
Match against a worthy opponent without its best player sidelined by injury, I attended the LFA Fighting event held at historic Freedom Hall.
“The Greatest Name Venue in Sports,” at least in my humble opinion, I love this venue
For the first time in decades, I attended a sporting event without my brother Greg by my side. It was uneasy and very different .
As many of you know Greg is currently in the midst of a fight that only he can battle and win .
As I walked through Freedom Hall to take my seat I was immediately taken back by the overwhelming amount of sincere love, concern, and support shown to me for my brother. People from every corner of the sporting world approached me with heartfelt messages, stories, prayers, and encouragement.
To Eddie Donaldson, Ed Soares, David Beck, James Dixon, and so many others , thank you.
The love I felt through every single one of you last night for Greg was truly overwhelming for me .
One moment I will never forget touched my heart when James Dixon shared a heartfelt message for Greg and wrapped me in a warm embrace. Standing at an LFA fighting event, surrounded by fighters, coaches, and fans, I found myself brought to tears.
What I witnessed last night was a resounding testament to the positive impact my brother Greg has had on our community and throughout the sporting world. It became crystal clear how many lives he has touched, how many people he has lifted up, and how much of himself he has poured into helping others succeed.
As I reflected on the evening, one thought kept coming to mind: To use a fighting analogy, my brother has the greatest corner in fighting history.
The Louisville Sports Commission team, the sporting community, and countless friends have surrounded him with an army of love, faith, encouragement, and strength. I have never felt more love for a member of my family than I felt last night.
As we exited Freedom Hall, I turned to two of my closest friends who attended with me and simply said, “The fourth wheel was missing.”
Brother, keep fighting the good fight.
I love you beyond words.
To everyone who has reached out, prayed, supported, encouraged, and stood in Greg’s corner , thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Your love is making a difference. My brother is a winner a real people’s champion he will overcome this opponent that I believe with all of my heart !
