It’s been a month since we closed and we’ve been working tirelessly to remodel the restaurant and rebrand as new owners. We know so many of you loved Jimmy Bumps and a huge part of that was Jimmy and Diana. But as you may know, at the end of last year they decided to sell the restaurant. I know it was very bittersweet for both of them. They had 17 successful and joyful years serving their very loyal customers.
With them both moving on to new adventures we’ve decided to close Jimmy Bumps Pasta House. We realized 7 months in as new owners that so many customers came in looking for Jimmy (he’s hilarious, devilishly handsome, and would make any and every special requests his customers would ask for, what’s not to love?). And it was comforting to know he was still back there cooking but whenever we’d try and change things (because that’s what new owners do) it wasn’t always well received.
So to alleviate any confusion and start fresh as new owners, we are re-opening as “Hazards”We’ll still be serving pizza and pasta (even keeping several of the local favorites) but doing it our way with Sarah Mavety as our new chef/partner.

We hope you see our heart in this restaurant and the pride we take in our food and friendly service. Los osos is our home and we cannot thank you enough for the love and support you’ve given us thus far.

With heavy but also very gracious hearts, we are bidding adieu to everyone’s favorite pasta man—Jim Delmore, the legend behind “Jimmy Bump’s”! When we bought this restaurant from Jimmy in Dec 2020, he generously offered to stay on so he could share his amazing skills and passion with Ben before handing over the reins completely. We want to express our sincerest thanks to him for taking Ben under his wing these last seven months.
As most of you know, Jimmy single-handedly made Jimmy Bumps what it is today—a special place here in Los Osos, serving amazing food for over 17 years.

So please come by this week and help us say “thanks and good luck” to Jimmy as he follows his restauranteur heart to new adventures. Friday will be his last night here at the helm, so please come wish him well!

And in other news, starting on July 31st, we be closing for a few weeks to rejuvenate and revamp! During this time, we’ll be working to give your favorite pizza and pasta house some much needed TLC, in addition to adding some new seasonal creations to our menu. We’ll of course be continuing to serve you and yours our classic dishes, but we’re really looking forward to sharing some new soon-to-be favorites with you, the best community ever. Please stay tuned for our reopening date—it’s coming soon!

We are so sorry if you tried calling the restaurant tonight. We were a tiny bit under staffed and weren’t able to get to the phone. Here’s a cute picture of our son Eli. He’s the one that didn’t answer the phone. You can be mad at him.
