Civilians,
Verve is pulling up. ⚡

Our friends at Verve are bringing the Adventure Van to Civil Highland Park for a morning celebrating Chispa — our collaborative blend showcasing two distinct coffees from México.

Wednesday, October 7 · 10AM–1PM
Civil Coffee — Highland Park

Verve will be pouring Chispa pour-overs from the Adventure Van, while we’ll be pulling Chispa espresso in the café.

Two coffees. Two roasters. One Chispa.

Come through, taste the collaboration, and hang with Civil + Verve. 🇲🇽⚡

CHISPA Hispanic Heritage Month

Chispa brings together La Perla, a washed coffee from producers across Veracruz and Puebla, with Civil’s Río Verde, an anaerobic natural from the Sierra Madre of Guerrero.

The result is bright, juicy and layered:
Watermelon · Orange Zest · Sugar Cane

More than a blend, Chispa is about the relationships behind the cup: producers, communities, friendship, and two California coffee companies coming together to showcase the incredible range of Mexican coffee.

Now through October 15, find Chispa across Civil cafés:

⚡ On our primary espresso bar — order it in your favorite espresso beverage
⚡ Whole bean bags to brew at home

A little spark from México, roasted and shared in California.

Available for a limited time.

Big News!

We've officially added Táche Pistachio Milk to the menu.

We chose Táche because it shares a lot of the values we care about: thoughtfully sourced ingredients, a clean label, and incredible flavor. It's one of the highest-quality plant-based milks we've tasted, and it pairs beautifully with our Mexican coffees and Kagoshima Matcha.

To celebrate, we're introducing two Táche Signature Drinks

TÁCHE CREMA CORTADO

MAPLE PRALINE MATCHA

Come by, give it a try, and let us know what you think—we're excited to share this one with you.

See you soon,
Team Civil

House Vanilla: Simple y Delicioso

Memorable flavors come from the simplest ingredients.

Our vanilla program starts with real vanilla beans and a commitment to calidad. Careful sourcing and thoughtful preparation.

The result is a vanilla that's smooth, floral, and deeply aromatic. It brings warmth and balance to everything from a Vanilla Oaty to your favorite timeless iced latte, without ever stealing the show.

Like coffee, great ingredients reveal themselves in the details.

Next time you're in the café, order something with vanilla and taste the difference for yourself.

Origin Visits

Civil sources from México. We make it a point to visit origin states like Oaxaca and Veracruz to understand agriculture, meet producers and QC, searching for coffee perfect for your morning ritual.
