For Cindy's Chef/Owners (and husband and wife team) Paul Rosenbluh and Monique King (Paul and Mo), buying this iconic diner in Eagle Rock was a lifelong dream. In addition to updating while also preserving the integrity of the space to

keep it "old school," they also wanted to create a relaxing place where family, friends, neighbors - and foodies, could enjoy scratch kitchen prepared food in a casual, fun atmosphere. Modern American cuisine with global, ethnic influences. Every dish is made from scratch at Cindy's -- house-smoked meats, homemade soups, dressings and sauces, using farm fresh ingredients that are sourced locally. Cindy's pastry chef makes out of this world pies (try the Coconut Key Lime or the Derby!), cakes (Bourbon Butterscotch!) and macaroons (sometimes chocolate is involved). At Cindy's, you may have a hard time deciding what to order -- everything's good and the menu features something for everyone. Popular, signature dishes include brisket hash, fluffy pancakes, the Green Goddess omelet, shrimp and grits, fried chicken and waffles, house-smoked pulled pork, the My BBQ Burger (with candied jalapenos aka cowboy candy!), New Orleans BBQ shrimp salad, the Rueben sandwich and homemade veggie burgers (that change weekly). Oh, and you must try the milkshakes! Both Paul and Mo have spent over 30 years working in the restaurant business - most of their time right here in Los Angeles (Firefly Bistro, Border Grill, the W Hotel) and are committed to sustainability and supporting their community/other small business owners. But most importantly - making their guests happy by serving them great food.
