Growing up in Cavite City, Philippines, summer had a routine. Lunch, then siesta — the whole neighborhood going quiet under the afternoon heat, electric fans humming, curtains drawn while the telenovela played in the background.

Then you’d wake up groggy and sweaty, hair pressed flat against your face, stumble outside into that thick afternoon air yet somehow, the vendor’s cart was always right there waiting at the corner, like it knew. Shaved ice. Sweet corn. A generous pour of sweetened evaportated milk slowly soaking through to the bottom of the plastic cup. Mais con yelo.

That first cold spoonful after a long siesta hit different every single time. It didn’t need to be fancy. It just needed to be cold, sweet, and in your hand.

That memory never really left. We took that feeling — that simple, sweaty, perfect Philippine summer afternoon — and turned it into our newest seasonal latte. For everyone who grew up on this, and everyone who’s about to.

It started in a home kitchen — a pan, some green beans, and a dream. Then came the Behmor, the Geisen, the pop-ups, the early mornings sampling specialty black coffee to anyone who’d listen. Now we’re in Westwood, and the journey has evolved into something we’re truly proud of. But through it all, one thing hasn’t changed — we are coffee roasters first. 🤎

Small batches. Intentional sourcing. Origins from the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico and beyond. Every bean handled with care, every roast a reflection of that original passion.
