Most people look at a dam and see something being held back.
I see something being built.
Over the last several months, I've been blessed with an opportunity I couldn't ignore.
An opportunity to work alongside a James Beard-recognized chef and experienced leaders who have invested their time, knowledge, and experience into helping me grow.
After more than 20 years in food service—from crew member to leadership roles, from restaurants to retail, from training teams to building systems—the greatest benefit isn't a title or a paycheck.
It's the growth.
It's learning from people who challenge me, share their knowledge, and help me become better.
And it's giving me the ability to continue building the future of Breakthrough while creating on my own time.
Like this dam, we've been storing up more than water.
We've been storing ideas.
Recipes.
Partnerships.
Knowledge.
Experience.
Opportunities.
And yes... a whole lot of sweets.
We'll always appreciate the community that helped us get started and we'll never forget where we came from. But growth requires new relationships, new experiences, and new resources.
To make the impact we dream about, we can't limit ourselves to one city, one market, or one opportunity.
So for now, we're focusing on one area:
Breakthrough Sweets
The gates won't open all at once.
They'll open slowly.
Intentionally.
One sweet.
One customer.
One partnership.
One opportunity at a time.
We're also creating opportunities for our followers to help shape what comes next through taste-testing, reviews, and feedback. We'd rather have our supporters tell our story than tell it ourselves.
