Thank you for everything, Longview ❤️
I know for y’all it probably seemed like a blip, but Swell Burger has been in the works since March 2024. We are so grateful for all of the support we received from the community in making this dream a reality.
A HUGE thank you to for creating our awesome window decals.
Thank you 903 Billiards for sharing your space with us.
Thank you to the friends who jumped in to help when we were short handed on our first days open.
And thank you to everyone who came in to try Swell Burger and told your friends about it!

Hey y’all, we’ve got some big (and tiny!) news… we’re expecting our first baby! 👶🍔

With this joyful news comes a bittersweet update: this Sunday, 7/13, will be Swell Burger’s last day before we permanently close.

We’ve absolutely loved serving up smash burgers to the Downtown Longview community. But the truth is, we’ve been operating at a substantial monthly deficit. We poured our savings into bringing the kitchen up to code, and while we never set out to get rich (we would’ve been thrilled just to break even) our goal was to build something fun and meaningful for the town we love.

Now, with a baby on the way, we have to shift gears and start saving for our growing family instead of continuing to float the business personally.

We are endlessly grateful to everyone who supported us, cheered us on, and stopped by for a burger. Building Swell with y’all has been an incredible experience and one we’ll always treasure. ❤️

If you’ve tried Swell Burger before—or if we’ve been on your list—this is your last chance to stop by! We’d love to celebrate our final few days with you.

Our last days open will be Thursday-Sunday 11am-3pm 🍔

Y’all! We got so many votes for BOTH the mushroom Swiss burger and the Patty Melt - we decided to combine them into one! July’s Burger of the Month is a Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt. 🤤
We’re so excited for this one- it’s got 2 smash burger style patties, Swiss cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and garlic aioli on toasted sourdough bread.

We’re heartbroken to hear that our friends and neighbors at are closing their doors in just a few days. They’ve been a huge part of what makes Downtown Longview special, and we hope you’ll stop by to show them some love before their last day.

If you love having local options, now’s the time to show up for every mom-and-pop trying to make it work. We know the heart, hustle, and risk it takes to start and run a small business — and we stand with everyone whose livelihood depends on the community showing up. When you support small businesses, you’re not feeding corporate profits — you’re investing in your neighbors, your local economy, and the unique character of your town. We started Swell Burger because of this awesome community. We’re doing everything we can to keep going, but we can’t do it without you.

This weekend we’ll have limited hours- our awesome manager, Marie, will be holding down the fort for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday while we travel out of state for some family time over memorial day weekend- thanks y’all for understanding! ❤️🙏🍔
