Happy National Tequila Day! Did you know:

- July 24 is recognized as "Día Nacional del Tequila" in Mexico to celebrate its cultural significance.
- Authentic tequila can only be made in five Mexican states: Jalisco, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit, and Tamaulipas.
- Tequila color indicates aging: Blanco is unaged, reposado is aged up to a year, and añejo is aged for at least one year.
- Premium tequila is meant to be sipped. "Shooting" tequila was a way to mask the harsh flavor of the lower quality tequilas.
