Hanky Panky Friday makes a rare guest appearance. It’s been a while (8 years!) but apparently I still know how to do a proper vegan food crawl. Black sesame soft serve with tahini caramel (this was bomb), not dog, and mochi cookies (Koke), Filet o’ fu and crazy good taro donuts (Mommy Pai’s), Kolkata chai (finally a spot without honey!) and a cherry espresso donut (Cloud Donuts). We received some really encouraging news yesterday at our visit at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

Uhmma’s numbers remain stable which is wonderful so instead of returning in three months as originally planned, her doctor said he’ll see her again in six months. Ahbba also received positive news. In this round of blood work, they did not see any abnormal plasma cells which had been seen previously by another oncologist, but to be safe he’ll return in six months for another check.

I’m so relieved and overwhelmingly grateful and deeply touched by all of your love and support. Thank you thank you.

My Cycle for Survival ride is Thursday and I am deeply honored and humbled to have been asked to ride Jen‘s Bike — this special spin bike pays homage to Cycle for Survival’s cofounder Jennifer Goodman Linn. Uhmma and Ahbba have appointments at Memorial Sloan Kettering next week and although we are nervous and scared, we are also hopeful. If you’d like to donate to my fundraiser, please see link below.
